OSO DevOps is pleased to announce Sion Smith is joining the team as CTO and Co-Founder, based in London. Sion will be shaping the technical vision and leading on innovation for the Europe based business.

With over 20 years experience working with technology companies, Sion has completed various engineering and leadership roles within leading organisations such as WorldPay, Adidas, BNP Paribas, HSBC, Nutmeg and F-Secure. Sion was instrumental in building Big Data platforms and distributed systems throughout Europe for a large tech consultancy, and plans to bring this expertise to OSO DevOps as he develops the technical vision with clients.
Sion’s most recent appointments have been at WorldPay and Adidas. “My recent project working with the largest payments provider in Europe, gave me an insight into the challenges posed by increased financial regulation and growing competition, and the importance of modernisation and the continuous evolution within the financial sector. I’ve built a strong understanding of the Big Data sector and have worked on large cloud migration and machine learning projects with Amazon Web Services (AWS).”
Focusing on customers and transforming business decisions with data has been an important aspect of Sion’s work for a number of years, and a topic he is very passionate about. “I have always had a customer focused attitude even as an engineer. My passion is for new technology, enabling business automation and making workflows more efficient. This aligns perfectly with the ethos and way that OSO DevOps works.”
